He has a post graduate diploma in Marketing and is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is also a member of The Academy of Experts, The Society of Expert Witnesses, and The Institute of Expert Witnesses. Thayne was one of the key intellectual property specialists in the UK for Arthur Andersen and was the UK representative on the global steering committee responsible for developing international training and best practice in valuations. He has carried out over 100 strategic valuation and advisory projects covering brands and other intangible assets over the past 20 years in numerous international markets for a variety of business reasons from brand strategy, sale or purchase to business re-organisation and dispute resolution.
